    Dark purple. Xmas spice on the nose. Quite jammy fruit with stewed plums, more Xmas spice, firm, grippy purple tannins, Some powdery tannic texture, and despite the big bold fruit some lively freshness and saline finish which balances the opulence. If there is oak, not obvious. A big but not a fine wine - good introduction to Provence red.
