Domaine d’Eole Tradition (Red)

Mid depth red. Lots of sweet spice, almost a touch of vanilla, alongside floral notes and garrigue on the nose. On the palate, green and violet minerality with slightly sour black tea. This wine divides opinion; while some find it a touch lacking mid-palate definition, neither very tannic nor very fruity, others find dark, slightly inky and leathery hedgerow fruit, sloes, damsons and beautiful rosehips. For those who enjoy it, it shows a dark pomegranate freshness, nicely integrated oak and beautifully silky textural tannins that support the fruit.
