Pale lemon. A somewhat neutral nose with hints of spice and flowers. Surprisingly delicate on the palate, with fresh white lemon, lacy white fruit, slightly bruised red apples and verbena flowers. Sour minerality, fresh and zesty with firm phenolics giving weight and gravitas. Not a complex wine, but good balance and concentration make it a very attractive offering that will age well. It ends slightly honeyed with a touch of textural grip from the amphora, providing real gravitas and a pretty hint of spiced complexity. Elegant, floral and remarkably serious despite the delicacy.
