Domaine Dalmeran Bastide (White) 2025 - RecommendedPale lime. Perfumed white lemons and a hint of oak on the nose. On the palate, the oak takes over with white chocolate and nutty vanilla. Lots of orange blossom alongside clean, crisp, elegant acidity. The citrus fruit, green apples and acidity are lovely, and the oak itself has a prettiness to it, but the elements feel disjointed and overly oaky at present, suggesting malolactic fermentation may not be entirely integrated. Needs a minimum of 2-3 years in bottle to relax and allow the fruit to support the oak, at which point it could be quite lovely.
