  Dark inky purple. Pine resin aromas, slightly reductive leathery Syrah, lots of blue hedgerow fruit, subtle herbal fruit and sweet ripe wild bramble fruit. Lots of garrigue. Very juicy red fruit, fresh acidity, but rather drying chalky tannins despite the easy charm of the fruit. Lasting finish with quite a bit of alcohol. A wine-bar by-the-glass sort of wine, but lacks elegance and is a touch too heavy for more than a glass. A bit disjointed.
