  Semi-opaque garnet. Big bold dark fruit, hedgerow fruit, damsons, sloes and quite generous savoury oak on the nose. Cranberries, dark cherries, hints of leather and creamy milk chocolate. Pretty creamy texture at first leads to rugged, serious, decadent and chewy tannins. Oodles of sweet spice and torrefaction. Big and serious, bold and no-nonsense, but still circling back to that slightly pippy berry-forward fruity exuberance that made it so enticing on the nose. Classic, Provençal, classy and utterly premium. Drink now in the dead of winter, or leave in the cellar for a decade and still be amazed! No idea how it manages to do all this with only 12.5% ABV!
