Domaine des Masques Exception Chardonnay (White) 2023 - Highly RecommendedPale lemon yellow gold. White peach and a hint of perfumed red apples on the nose, alongside soft and almost exuberant orchard blossom, hothouse flowers, and a whisper of struck match. Wonderfully ripe fruit on the palate, with white citrus acidity and stony fruit. Slightly smoky and nutty, with a tiny hint of silky oak providing beautiful richness. Long fresh acidity with a slightly chalky, schistous, driven, and linear texture. Very classy, decadent but refined. Classic fine white for those who want a little more classiness and complexity from Provence, without the lightness or fruitiness of rosés.
