Domaine du Tix Infinitix (Red) 2022 - OutstandingTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

Semi-opaque. Dark black fruit, rather grown-up spice and a hint of respectful, slightly subdued oak. Lots of black fruit, almost austere. It is very sensible and restrained. Lightly chalky, chewy tannins, textured crimson velvet. Just enough alcohol and ripeness to give weight and gravitas, firmly aiming at freshness. Very saline, long fresh acidity, wild red berries and a savage element. Beautiful use of very fresh Syrah, overflowing with ripeness and spice but outwardly restrained, sensible and classy. Masculine, muscular and suave - a sexy James Bond of a wine. One of our favourites from central Ventoux, and clearly showing strong Rhône influences.
