Domaine la Suffrène Cuvée Tradition (Red) 2022 - OutstandingMid-depth ruby red. Soft black fruit and lots of spice on the nose. On the palate the rich, lush black fruit continues with some subtle sweet oakiness and nutty tannins, balanced by nice fresh acidity and avoiding being a big alcoholic fruit bomb. Suffrene's signature is a high percentage of Carignan and Cinsault in the reds, and their elegance always shines. After decanting, the dark black fruit takes on a deep, inky depth with a touch of elderberries and taut wild damson fruit. Needs time to open up to reveal a charming, approachable easy to drink Bandol. Look no further for an eminently drinkable classically Provencal red.
