Domaine la Suffrène Jas de Clare (White) 2023 - OutstandingDark gold. Buttery, oaky nose supporting big, bold, unapologetic orchard fruit and quince without dominating. Encapsulates all of Provence's sunshine and garrigue wilderness. Surprisingly fresh and vibrant on the palate, with beautiful acidity that is mineral, linear, and crisp. Somewhat natural and slightly naturally exuberant, showcasing beautiful complexity and concentration. I love the quirkiness. You can hear the sea and the cicadas. Many Bandol whites go down a route of crisp clarity, but this isn't afraid of fruit and intensity. Belongs in a wine bar with a list of boutique producers you've never even heard of, most of them totally natural. GORGEOUS.
