Domaine Perréal Ventoux (White) 2024 - RecommendedPale lemon-lime yellow. Slightly creamy, beeswaxy oak and waxy, honeyed melon aromas on the nose. Ripe orchard fruit, very nutty and full of hazelnut depth. Ripe fruit on the palate, a little heavy and honeyed with some vanillin and creamy, slightly lactic notes dominating. Phenolics and only moderate acidity make it a little short on the finish, lacking vibrancy and tension, though there is a lovely juxtaposition of softness and rigour provided by zazzy and remarkably angular acidity. Not afraid of concentration and weight. Pretty floral notes on the finish. Crisp, elegant, and has serious potential to open up in the next couple of years.
