    Domaine Richeaume Grenache (Red) 2024 - Highly RecommendedTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    Light to mid depth ruby red. Cedar, carnations, a hint of cloves and some savoury garrigue notes on the nose. On the palate, beautiful salinity is the first thing to surface. Lovely blue minerality, zesty acidity and very tight chalky tannins. Vibrant blue plums, fresh red fruit and pretty black cherries, perhaps suggesting carbonic maceration. Restrained, closed and youthful, yet remarkably refreshing - a lovely summer red that illustrates Grenache is not just for rosé. Charming and approachable.

We’re mother and son duo Elizabeth Gabay MW and Ben Bernheim. Between us, we’ve been involved in the wines of southern France for over 30 years. Elizabeth started working with the wines of Provence back in 1986, and for the past 20 years has lived on the eastern edge of south-east France.
