    Domaine Tempier La Migoua (Red) 2023 - ExceptionalTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    Tempier's most Cinsault-heavy single-vineyard, with up to a quarter of Cinsault depending on the vintage. Youthful reductive notes on the nose with intense black fruit and spice. On the palate, black, inky silk and very elegant. The Cinsault very firmly in charge with the Mourvèdre pushing to show itself. Textured dark velvet gives an opulence restrained by grippy tannins on finish. Black, inky, silky, delicate with a firm finish. A really fabulous wine that embraces Bandol's reductiveness and youthful restraint while harbouring incredible intensity and potential.

We’re mother and son duo Elizabeth Gabay MW and Ben Bernheim. Between us, we’ve been involved in the wines of southern France for over 30 years. Elizabeth started working with the wines of Provence back in 1986, and for the past 20 years has lived on the eastern edge of south-east France.
