Domaines Bunan Château la Rouvière Bandol (Red) 2022 - RecommendedSemi-opaque ruby. Zippy red fruit, hints of spicy woodiness, and slightly floral leathery notes on the nose with pretty purple flowers and violets. The palate features concentrated dark chocolate and dark fruit, leading to blackcurrants, slightly leafy menthol, and green herbal garrigue. A touch of brettiness adds to the blue fruit perfumed notes. Shows textured velvet and some freshness, but it feels a little flat on the mid-palate and could do with a bit more zippiness. The tannins are hard, unyielding, tight, and closed. Very taciturn, a wine for lovers of dark inky tannins more than zippy modern fruit.
