Cloudy dark gold. Cloves and marmalade on the nose alongside bruised grapefruit. Unashamedly a skin contact wine with firm grippy tannins and pithy bitter orange freshness. On the palate, there is vibrant acidity, gentle tannins, crunchy structure and wonderfully charming floral fruit. Very clean and precise with that lovely sourness that makes skin contact wine so perfect for hot days or with food. It is zippy, exciting and exceptionally textural. Not for everyone, and mainstream wine lovers should probably stay clear, but I rather like the quirkiness of the extended skin contact. For a lover of natural wines, look absolutely no further.
