Xavier Vignon Ventoux (Red) 2023 - OutstandingModerate depth ruby. Juicy wild raspberry fruit, black chocolate, vibrant acidity, blue minerals, florals, mouthwatering tannins. Slightly cooked, slightly jammy hedgerow fruit, some fruit of the forest. Pretty fruit-driven tannins, zippy acidity. Very pretty and fresh. Slightly gravelly towards the finish, but a beautiful compromise of fresh and accessible fruit with some elegant and delicate tannins. Ticks all the boxes, vibrant and fresh, rich and powerful, lacking in complexity but plenty of fruit.
