Château d’Esclans Garrus (Rosé) 2024 - OutstandingTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

Very pale shell pink. A delicate, elegant nose with pretty, floral, pink peach, a hint of orchard blossom, and some red apples. This is a wine of two halves: elegance and delicate fruit on the nose, backed up by gorgeous intensity of ripe fruit, exceptional concentration, and depth on the palate. Pretty, gently crunchy red apples continue onto the palate, evolving into a perfumed orchard profile. Long mineral acidity and subtle minerality deepen into something moreish, decadent, and classy. The kind of wine that whispers with confidence rather than shouting with particular exuberance or excess, finishing with a long mineral lime and salt finish.
