Château de Saint Martin Comtesse de Saint Martin Cru Classé (Rosé) 2021 - OutstandingA beautiful example of what an aged rosé with oxidative handling can achieve. Pale copper-gold. Jasmine tea, nuts, marmalade, white chocolate and spice on the nose with a touch of wild strawberries. Beautifully silky on the palate, with subtle oaky, nutty tannins enveloping sweet, buttery stone fruit. Cut through by mouthwatering, lacy acidity and lifted by charming spice and roasting coffee torrefaction. Oak-driven and aged, but incredibly serious, concentrated and balanced; an expressive, decadent and aristocratic wine. Notable for its mix of barrels: oak, acacia, and even some mulberry wood!
