Château Pradeaux Bandol (Rosé) 2024 - OutstandingTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

Dark copper pink. Reductive notes, typical of youthful Mourvèdre, coming through on the nose with that slight grapefruit pithiness giving freshness, alongside hedgerow fruit, blueberries and black cherries. Firm drying tannins, wild raspberries and strawberries on the palate, showing intense concentration and weight. A classic summery rosé, fresh, zesty and fruity, that has been macerated just a little longer and punching above its weight in complexity. Lots of juicy fruit, mouth watering acidity and a lovely balance of weight, intensity, structure and fruit. Concentrated, powerful, refreshing, and even if it comes as a bit of a shock, it is a wine that will not fail to bring a smile to your face. Suitable for the beach, a picnic, a Michelin-starred restaurant or a birthday.
