Pale creamy white to pale shell. Neutral nose with a hint of stone fruit and some oak. The palate is lightly silky, showing soft white peach, fresh almond blossom, and some sweet peach. The oak provides a subtle tropical vanilla softness to quite perfumed oranges and stone fruit. Still very much in the style of a white wine but with a touch of fruit and charm, accompanied by some raw nutty phenolics. The acidity on the finish is a little glacial. It is a shame there isn't a bit more concentration and ripeness, as the oak is beautiful and the fruit is clearly extremely concentrated and qualitative. It is a pity it puts fresh elegance ahead of charm and complexity.
