Domaine la Suffrène Sainte Catherine (Rosé) 2019 - Highly RecommendedCopper to golden-copper pink. Creamy, intensely rich, and spiced oaky aromas with notes of marmalade, nuts, and richly oxidative stone fruit. Restrained, mineral, and dry on the palate, featuring lovely creamy acidity with a sharp blood orange and sour apple citrussy edge. It feels like a dry fino sherry, making it an intriguing aperitif, finishing with a hint of black pepper. A rosé for those who love well-matured wine. While it initially seems decadent and complex, as it breathes, it feels slightly more subdued, austere, and missing some primary fruit.
